Poem

Surrounded by the miracles of life
blinded
we rush past.
I look at the leaf,
The Chlorophyll container,
The engine of the cycle.
Unimaginable facts,
Without the leaf,
No oxygen,
No food.
No life.
I can see the sunlight filter through the leaf,
A visual sensation.
This light that is latent in my body.
Science often talks about exergy and entropy.
The quality of energy is constantly degrading,
Chaos is increasing.
But there is an ordering force,
Something that creates and maintains incredibly complex structures.
Life.
